DEPARTMENTAL OVERVIEW
Equities IT provides support and development of applications used by the Equities Business. The applications are predominantly Front Office Trading, Electronic Trading Systems, Position Keeping, Booking Systems and Client Connectivity.

The business lines are Cash Equities Sales & Trading, Index Arbitrage, Convertibles, Listed and OTC Derivatives

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
This position is part of the team that is responsible for the development and maintenance of the strategic front-end trading system for Equities and Equity Derivatives in Europe and Americas. This application is highly critical to the Equities business.

The role will involve hands-on development of system components and screens in C#/.NET. The candidate will be required to learn the business flow that the application supports, and undertake and aid analysis into new user requirements.

Candidates must have experience in developing GUI applications to high performance requirements. Knowledge of Equities and/or Equity Derivatives is essential; Listed and OTC Equity Derivatives experience is desirable.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential
 BS or MS in Computer Science or Equivalent
Desirable
 Finance / Capital Markets background

WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND
Minimum 3 years experience

TECHNICAL/BUSINESS SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
