1. C# and VC++/C++/C
2. Ability to do ground up development work. Ex: should be able to write small tools on his/her own
3. Requirements gathering and consolidation, code analysis and impact analysis
4. Debugging and root cause analysis\
5. Can work as an independent unit without a lot of technical guidance
