Software Development Engineer (SDE) â€" Enterprise India Group



Introduction:



The Amazon Enterprise India group enables multi-channel commerce solutions for high-profile retailers by leveraging Amazon e-commerce technology and services. We are responsible for the development of canonical web applications in order to shorten implementations of new websites and drive innovation. We also own the Reporting and Subscriptions products for Enterprise. Joining our team will give you the unique opportunity and experience to learn what it takes to build and run a large scale e-Commerce site from click to delivery and have a direct impact on millions of customers.





Job Requirements:



We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer who is independent, flexible, innovative, self-directed, eager to learn and understand how to architect, design and write high-performance, highly-available, and maintainable software.



· Candidates should have strong Java, OOAD, and OOP skills as well as good knowledge and experience in n-tiered web architectures.

· Knowledge of web protocols, Berkeley databases, caching technologies, and highly-available and scalable distributed systems and applications is desired.

· A Masters or a Bachelors degree in Computer Science with minimum 5 years of development experience and 1+ year of technical leadership experience is required.

· The candidate must have a proven record of completion of at least one full project life cycle.

· Excellent debugging skills and an attitude of enthusiastically supporting the customers who use our software are a must.

· Solid communication skills and the ability to work in a team and with internal/external customers is critical.
