We have an urgent opening with one of our client Royal Bank of Scotland (Gurgaon)


Position : Software Designer (C#, Winforms)

Experience : 5.5 - 7 yrs

Relevant Exp: 2+ yrs


Location: Gurgaon


Essential Experience: (Must have skills)

• 6+ years of IT experience
• Strong c# development skills including Win forms
• ADO.net
• Strong OOP and demonstrable knowledge of design pattern implementation (e.g. Gang of Four)
• Ability to work in an agile development environment
• Knowledge of working with COM in .net
• Exposure to at least one source control technology
• Working in a large organisation with strong architectural governance and technology standards

• TFS
• Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 and Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) 3.0 exposure
• Office Automation experience
• Enterprise Workflow Systems (TIBCO/Windows Workflow Foundation)
• .net C# 2.0 ASP.net
• .net 3.x especially WCF
• Automated Unit Testing using nUnit or Visual Studio test tools
• Knowledge of the eDocs PCDClient and DocsObjects API
• Knowledge of ITIL

Role responsibilities
• Deliver well-structured, high-quality code and solutions to meet business needs
• Write technical specifications and produce clear and detailed documentation
• Participate in design reviews and code reviews as part of a structured software development lifecycle
• To work with the teams in Delhi and London to deliver innovative solutions for the business on both eDocs and SharePoint platforms
• To be a subject matter expert on c# best practice in the Delhi team
• To aide the adoption of agile development methodologies in the team
• To work with the London team in designing and improving coding standards as new technologies arrive.
• Work closely the product engineering team, testing team and production services and take ownership for the quality and production performance/stability of solutions.
• Follow best practice source control management, software configuration management, build and release management disciplines
• Take responsibility for analysing impact of eDocs product upgrade on any RBS customisations and updating code bases for forwards compatibility
• Suggest and implement initiatives to improve the software development process
• Effectively deal with requests for 3rd level support on the DMS and SharePoint portfolio of applications including problem diagnosis and defect fixing
