Program Details: Incorrect software estimation is one of the biggest reasons for project failure. This software estimation workshop is intended to provide in-depth knowledge on various software estimation techniques, with emphasis on Function Point Analysis (FPA) -  the most widely used software sizing technique in the industry.

FPA, however, is not suitable for real-time or scientific systems. Therefore this workshop will also provide an overview of the COSMIC-FFP technique, which has become a very popular size estimation technique for real-time software.

In addition, the workshop will discuss some of the other techniques used in the early life cycle of a project in the absence of sufficient details.
