Development Engineering Advisor â€" Java - Bangalore



We are looking for a highly motivated software engineer with 6+ years of hands-on experience. As a Dell Global Software Services Developer you'll work with business and development teams to transform vision into reality. The Developer plays a key role in implementing a large-scale, highly concurrent remote management platform. The Developer should be tech savvy, has strong verbal skills and is able to communicate clearly across functional teams.

Responsibilities:
• Uses the appropriate techniques, standards and resources to accomplish development tasks and goals.
• Performs unit and functional testing for the delivery of quality programming artifacts.
• Support activities for integration testing and trouble shooting.

Experience: 6+ years

Technical skills:
• Hands-on programmer with a deep understanding of computing technology fundamentals.
• Strong and demonstrable object-oriented and Java skills are a must, with experience in building multi-threaded, highly scalable server-side enterprise applications using Java, JSP, servlets, XML, Javascript, Hibernate.
• OS proficiency in Windows or Linux a must.
• Excellent logical reasoning
• Direct experience with networking, network monitoring/management, and/or security is a strong plus but not a must.
• Familiarity with C# is desirable but not must.
• Hands-on work with one or more of the following would be an added advantage: SNMP, WMI, Microsoft networking, and Windows administration, Oracle DB (10g), Crystal Report engine.
• Familiarity with SaaS applications is an added advantage.
• A successful candidate will be part of a highly skilled team of engineers delivering a cutting-edge software solution for the delivery of remote managed services.
