Essential Skills The following skills are essential for the role: � Extensive experience developing complex software products or applications, ideally gained in a structured and commercially focused software environment � with around 5 to 10 years of experience. � Excellent working knowledge of Java application technologies such as J2SE and J2EE. � Good working knowledge of Spring Framework (with Hibernate) � Working knowledge of any ORM framework preferably Hibernate. � Webservices development experience is a big Plus. � Excellent knowledge of OOAD, use case modeling, UML, and software architectures � Experience for writing providers for JCE and/or JSEE (highly desirable). � Understanding of cryptography and other security related technologies such as PKI, PKCS #11 and cryptographic algorithms. � Good Knowledge of Internet technologies such as web and application servers (e.g., Apache/Tomcat, WebLogic and IBM WebSphere) � High proficiency using Java IDEs � Eclipse, MyEclipse etc� � Working knowledge of communications protocols including SSL and HTTP/HTTPS. � Proven experience implementing and testing commercial software using JUnit, Ant and continuous build tools. � Good knowledge of current software development methodologies � Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills (i.e. proven ability to identify alternative solutions to complex problems and recommend the most effective solution) � Responsive to change in a fast moving, high technology product development environment � Ability to operate confidently and constructively with peers and technical management � Proactive self-starter, results orientated, team player, high professional standards and work ethic, strong-willed but flexible, and capable of making independent decisions � Previous experience in a team leadership capacity would be highly regarded Desirable Skills � Working knowledge of database systems including Oracle, and SQLServer and the techniques for implementing applications that use these systems. � Unix Scripting � Python, Perl etc� � Any web framework � Struts, JSF, Spring GUI etc� If this opportunity interests you, please forward your updated resume to giby.george@rsa.com.
