Layer 2 Technologies
. 802.1ad, 802.3ad, Metro Ethernet Bridging, MPLS, PWE3, STP/RSTP, MSTP, RMON1/2.
· Knowledge of the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) standards
· Hands on experience designing, implementing, and integrating embedded firmware for communications products
· Experience working with real-time debugging & profiling tools
· Familiarity with the Motorola Power PC family of microprocessors
· Experience working with redundant systems
· Extensive experience with Intelligent Switch Solution (ISS) workgroup or other L2/L3 switching and routing solutions software packages
· Ability to interface with and write microcode for Network Processors - preferably the Xelerated X11
· Experience working with QoS and traffic management chips - preferably the Dune FAP20
· Proficient in C/C++
· Real time operating systems vxWorks/Linux
Positions : 5
Year of Experience: 4 to 10 years.
Location: Chennai.
Layer 3 Technologies
The position requires effective verbal and written communication and problem solving skills. The candidates should have a good understanding of network and routing protocols and architectures. In particular, network protocols and architectures including IP, MPLS, VPLS, ATM, Frame Relay, PPP, Ethernet, SONET/SDH, and routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and ISIS.
The candidates must have excellent C programming experience on large scale embedded systems for data communications applications. Experience with distributed software, redundancy, hitless upgrade would be a plus.
Experience : 5-7 yrs (3 Positions) 4-5 yrs (5 Positions).
Location : Chennai.
Tier 2 Support
Excellent Verbal & written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to leads customers during customer call & ability to write timelines and technical reports.
Leading problem resolution / technical troubleshooting on data products.
Technical knowledge on Layer 2/ 3 skills like ARP / MAC / Switching / Ethernet / STP / Trunking / OSPF / BGP / Frame Relay / ATM / MPLS / Qos / IPV6.
Eagerness to become engaged on the toughest high visibility technical issues.
Experience: 5 - 8 years in Technical support / network support of L2/3 technologies
(Folks who are good in L2/L3 testing and willing for this requirement can also be considered).
