Minerva is the engine that handles equity swaps order flow. Swaps allow clients to trade simple to complex products across global markets with Morgan Stanley while abstracting away many of the complexities and restrictions of global market and also providing convenient financing and stock lending options. The Minerva system provides the firm a way to take a risk-neutral position by hedging the client position with the underlying asset in a real time manner. It is a C++ application used to create a firm hedge order given an incoming client order. This proprietary order is then traded on an exchange or sent to a trading engine. We build world class trading systems and want a new team member who shares in that goal.
Role Description :
We are looking for a developer who wants to develop a wide range of systems; from Hedging engines to Allocation systems.
He/She will be involved in the project from beginning to end, taking part in all levels of ongoing system development: requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, testing and deployment. As an initial task, you will be responsible for the ongoing development of Swaps hedging.
We are looking for a hardcore, hands on C++ developer.
He/she should however be able to work with multiple tools and languages to the extent possible.
Skills Required :
• Advanced C++ programming. Should be comfortable with pointers, data structures and OOP.
• Some exposure to templates, libraries such as stl & boost, multi threading and asynchronous concepts.
• Some exposure to complex frameworks and distributed environments.
• Preferably should be from a unix/linux leaning but a windows background will also work. You preferably be aware of OS internals.
• Familiarity with full life-cycle software development in a distributed team environment.
• Good communication skills
Good to have :
• Awareness of finance related protocols and technologies like real time market data, FIX protocol.
• Perl/shell, Unix/Linux,
• Some Java exposure
