Role: Sr. Associate, Platform (Core Java)

Experience Guidelines: 4â€" 8 yrs

1. Skills required: Core Java technologies.
- Experience with JDBC, Multi-threading, Java 5
- Experience with message processing/streaming desirable
- Experience with performance tuning Java-based applications desirable
- Experience with JPROBE or JPROFILER, JUNIT a plus
- Database programming skills in Oracle a plus
- Experience with JMX a plus.
2. Proficient in UML, OOAD.
3. Ability to abstract detail into larger (repeatable) patterns, familiarity with user-centered analysis and evaluation techniques
4. Experience providing a vision of the total solution, managing a track of work and defining a comprehensive solution leading toward a common vision
5. Understanding of the project life cycle process
Education:
Bachelor's degree required degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

2.Manager-Core Java/J2EEJob Requirements:

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field require

Experience Guidelines:
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in enterprise architecture, systems integration, package implementation, and/or interactive design, and Architecture experience
• Prior experience in a consulting firm preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage client accounts and multi-track Sapient teams
• Understanding of the project life cycle process to effectively be able to manage a sub-team through the complexities of the business solution
• Proven mentoring and coaching abilities to ensure effective growth plans of technology members of Sapient teams
• Knowledge of multiple technologies including (but not limited to): J2EE, JavaScript, Java, etc.

3.Title: Specialist (Core Java)
Experience Guidelines: 8â€" 10 yrs in Core Java, J2EE

Job Summary -
A Specialist, Platform drives the translation and construction of a client's complex business problems into innovative technology solutions within a multidisciplinary environment. Key responsibilities include overseeing the development, design, user interface, and technology integration direction, site architecture management, and managing a technology team from definition phase through implementation. A Specialist, Platform owns the technical vision of the project; ensuring that the vision is achieved with a high level of quality.
1. Has more than one year experience in architecting/designing applications. Has experience in creating logical, application and physical architectures.
2. Knowledge of various distributed programming techniques like Messaging, RMI, Sockets and web services
3. Has knowledge and experience in some of the frameworks like hibernate, Spring etc
4. Has knowledge and experience of Object oriented Analysis and design
5. Has knowledge of databases and ETL tools
6. Has knowledge of different types of environments (development, staging, testing and production etc) and usage of those environments in the various stages of application development lifecycle.

Specialist Core Java

Job Summary

Responsible for delivery (estimation, design and execution) of business applications that are built based on Custom/Thick Client UIs, Custom built Servers and Distributed programming in Java
He/She is seen as a subject matter expert on Core Java/Java Platform
In addition to project responsibilities this person is also responsible for training and mentoring member of his/her team.
This person will also work with a PM and teams in Client Geography on overall Project management and client management tasks

Skills Required:

7-11 yrs of experience of building applications in Core Java.
Has worked on projects involving some of the following areas like
• Custom UI Controls
• Real time UIs
• Distributed Programming techniques like Messaging, RMI and Sockets and Web Services
• Multi threading
• Custom Memory Management and Caching (both UI and Server Side)
• Load Balancing techniques and High Performance/fault Tolerant processes.

Has more than two years experience in architecting/designing applications that involve some of the above features
Has knowledge and experience in J2SE version 1.4 and version 1.5 including new features like Generics and Annotations
Has knowledge and experience in some of the open source frameworks like Hibernate, Spring etc.
Knowledge of various Application integration strategies and tools (Messaging, ETL, etc)
Has knowledge and experience of Object oriented Analysis and design
Knowledge of databases and ETL tools
Has experience in creating logical architecture, application and physical architectures.
Has knowledge of diff types of environments (development, staging, testing and production etc) and usage of those environments in the various stages of application development lifecycle.
Knowledge of utility scripts like Perl, Ruby or Shell scripting
Knowledge of Unix/Linux or Windows Operating systems
