Job Description:
As an Application Developer you will be responsible for requirements analysis, design, construction and testing of applications for all aspects of Software Engineering life-cycle. You will also be responsible for construction, testing, deployment and maintenance.
Your primary responsibility will include development and deployment of web based projects using .Net
• Collect and document business & operational requirements for software applications
• Analyze business & operational requirements and produce systems requirements and functional specification
• Design application and systems architecture (with logical & physical models)
• Prototype as needed
• Construct (code) and unit test
• Create a traceability matrix for requirement, functional specification, and test case
• Participate in design & code reviews
• Maintain & evolve applications
• Work with peer groups to develop user & operational training materials
• Mentor other software developers
• Support the objectives of the manager
• Devise and execute technical plans of action to resolve user issues.
• Work effectively with other departments to develop inter-departmental communications and work through issues that span departments.

Type of experience required:
• 4 years experience in web application software development.
• 3 years commercial experience in web application development with ASP.NET and C#.
• 3 years commercial experience with MS SQL Server 2000/2005 with ability to write stored procedures using Transact SQL
• 2 years experience with code management systems.
• Prior experience in the entire software development life-cycle working on large commercial or equivalent software projects.
• Familiarity with all development phases such as requirements definition, prototyping, and code complete definitions.
• Understanding of all types of testing such as unit, component, integration, and system testing.
• Understanding of IT deployment/implementation steps.
• Understanding of documentation required to deliver a software product.
• Demonstrated ability to write detailed design and test documents.
• Strong and effective team communication and problem-solving skills and able to work under very little or no supervision.
Skills Required:
• Excellent written (both grammar and substance) and spoken communication skills and presentation skills an absolute must. Entire schooling in English medium a must – ICSE, IB, IGCSC, or CBSE school boards a plus
• Good knowledge of the latest web technologies
• Excellent knowledge of Application Architecture and Framework
• Good training skills

Years of experience:
3 - 5
Education Desired/Required:
• Masters in Computer Science or Information Technology from a well-reputed academic institute
